Radio Event: Women’s Rights in Today’s Afghanistan

If you’re around DC this Friday, here’s an event that might be of interest to you: Afghanistan’s Radio Killid partners with WAMU 88.5 and America Abroad Media to  allow Afghan and American audiences to discuss women’s rights issues in Afghanistan.

Kojo Nnamdi will host the event at American University’s Katzen Arts Center, and the Afghans in Kabul will be able to interact with American audience members through interpreters and Skype. It seems like an interesting event discussing an important topic — the war’s connection to women’s rights in Afghanistan.

For more information and RSVP details, see the PDF flier Joined By War: Women’s Rights in Today’s Afghanistan or visit the show’s webpage.

Update: Listen to the program’s recording on the America Abroad Media website.
